One day, while working on a floral mosaic for an upscale residence overlooking the ocean, Dina began shooting flowers to capture the exact view of the floral she had in her mind. She shot image after image until, 4000 images later, she had fallen in love with photography.
She began shooting other subjects for fun, relentlessly seeking to capture the essence which she felt defined her subjects. Not happy with a static image, she wanted motion and life—wanted to capture the core identity of anything she shot.
Soon she was selling her work to local galleries she had frequented as a designer. She found that her years of experience in the trade gave her a unique perspective as a photographer. She was able to shoot with an eye toward creating interior artwork—images she would want to use in an interior design project herself and so Dina Marie Views was born.
Dina shoots non-literal, almost abstract, images that invite the participation of the viewer. Viewing everyday existence through a unique lens, Dina strives to capture the true essence of ordinary objects and places.
Her mission is to transport viewers outside the day-to-day drudgery of the material world—to get them to take a step back, if only for a moment, and appreciate the beauty inherent in every part of life, no matter how small.
Today Dina Marie Views has clients across the country, from small galleries to international art publishers. Prints of her images can be purchased directly through her website, exclusive licenses can be established for large distributors and custom projects can be commissioned.
